PAGES: Creating a Portal Page
Build and manage custom portal pages in Unificus to share content with contacts and staff members.
What is a Portal Page?
A Portal Page is a customizable page you can populate with content, resources, images, links, announcements, videos, charts, and more. Once created, you assign it to specific Contacts and/or Staff Members so they can access it from their portal.
Users viewing the same Portal Page will see identical content, with one exception: any Dynamic Data Placeholders automatically generate personalized information for each individual.

You can also apply prebuilt Portal Page Templates to jumpstart your page creation.
How do I create a Portal Page?
Navigate to Content > Portal Pages and click + ADD Portal Page.
Tip: Contact-specific pages work differently. See the sections below for details.
General page Assignments & Details
Under Contacts, select individual contacts or assign entire Circles to grant viewing access. To allow all Prospects and Clients to see the page, check the box at the top of this section.
You can quickly create a new Circle by clicking +Add Circle.
Under Staff Members, select individual team members or assign entire Teams to grant access. To allow all Internal users to see the page, check the box at the top of this section.
Configure Dynamic Menu
Control which categories and menu groups appear for your page.
Category / Menu Group: The title of the expandable menu section where your page will appear. For example, naming this “Account Status” means contacts navigate to Pages > Account Status to find your page link.
Hide this Page in the Dynamic Pages Menu: Check this to prevent the page from appearing in the Pages menu item.
Tip: Role-based permissions don’t control the Dynamic Pages Menu—it auto-generates when users log in, showing only pages they’re assigned to. If a user has no assigned pages, the Pages menu won’t appear at all. Use Custom Menus to control placement and labeling of the menu item itself.
Page Title: The full title contacts see while viewing the page (different from the Menu Title, which controls how it appears in navigation).
Menu Title: The sub-level menu label contacts click to reach this page. For example, naming this “Product A” under Menu Group “Account” creates the path Pages > Account > Product A.
Important: The Client-side Pages menu is auto-generated and auto-organized based on your settings. Clients without assigned Portal Pages won’t see the Pages menu at all.

How do I create a Start Page?

Contacts can still access their Dashboard, but they’ll land on the Start Page first until you remove them from that setting.

What does the Contact See?
When you assign a Portal Page to a contact, their Pages Menu Item displays based on your configuration.
Content appears as a top-level menu item (like it does for staff), with nested sub-level items matching your specified Category / Menu Group and Menu Title.
How do I change “Content” to something else?
Most menu item names can be customized using Custom Menus. However, changing “Content” only affects the staff side.
For Staff
Navigate to Flyout Menu > Custom Menus.
Click the icon and enter your desired name.
For Contacts
Use the Translations tool. Navigate to Flyout Menu > Translations (beta).
Enable Translations, search for “content”, and check Hide Empty Groups for easier searching.
You’ll find the Pages menu label in the results.
