Content Block Editor

Build dynamic content using blocks for dashboards, portal pages, landing pages, LMS, proposals, and document generators.

What is the Content Block Editor?

The Content Block Editor is a powerful tool that simplifies creating content across Unificus features like Dashboards, Portal Pages, Landing Pages, LMS, Proposals, and Document Generators. Using intuitive Blocks, you can insert, rearrange, and style content without needing technical expertise—just add a block and you’re done.

One standout feature lets you assign Blocks to Circles, enabling multiple Contacts to view the same Dashboard or Portal Page while seeing only information relevant to them. You can also hide Blocks from specific Circles when needed.

Go to Content > Dashboard.

Choose an existing Dashboard to edit, or click + ADD DASHBOARD to create a new one.

How to use the Content Block Editor?

When you open a page with the Content Block Editor, it starts with one Row containing a Text Block. Hover over the sample text to see the Row’s outline and options.

Move your cursor to the middle of the Text Block to view editing options.

  • Click the pencil icon to edit the Block.
  • Click the duplication icon to copy the Block.
  • Click the X icon to remove the Block.

To add a different block type, click the icon. The Block will appear at the top or bottom of the Row depending on which positioned icon you select.

Hover over any Row or Block to reveal a toolbar. Click the icon and drag to reposition elements. You can also click to duplicate or delete.

Creating and modifying Rows and Columns

Your page is organized into sections called Rows, which can be divided into columns. Blocks nestle within each Row and Column.

To create a new Row, click the icon.

A modal will appear letting you add a blank row or select a pre-created stack.

Empty Row

A modal prompts you to choose from several Row types.

Your Row will be inserted above or below the current one based on which positioned icon you click.

This example shows a Three Column Row. You can configure content in each Column independently.

To change a Row’s Column Type, click the icon shown below. (The icon varies depending on the current Column Type.)

You won’t lose content when switching to fewer columns. For example, switching from a Three Column Row to a Two Column Row shifts extra blocks into existing Columns.

Stacks

Clicking opens a modal to select a pre-created stack. Stacks are pre-built block templates stacked together. Each toolkit has its own Stack option, or you can create a General Stack usable anywhere the block editor appears.

Click the Stack you want to add. Once added, customize individual blocks as needed. Your changes apply only to the current page—the original Stack template stays unchanged.

Style Options for Rows and Blocks

While editing a Row or Block, apply borders, colors, and other customizations. This works for all Rows and any Block type, including Empty Space.

Hover over a Row/Block and click the icon. For Rows, you’ll go straight to the Style Options tab. For Blocks, click the Style Options tab.

Tip: For Single Image Blocks, Style Options apply to the image only, not the entire Block.

Border Style: Choose a style for your Block or image border.

Border Color: Use the Color Picker to set a border color and adjust transparency.

Border Radius: Add “roundness” to corners. Higher numbers create rounder corners.

Background Color: Set the Block’s background color.

Custom CSS Class: Advanced users can input custom CSS Classes here.

Access Options

Control who sees each Block by setting permissions based on Circles, Teams, Roles, and Users. You can also hide individual Blocks from specific Circles, Teams, Roles, or Users.

Tip: If a Block isn’t permissioned for a user, it simply won’t appear in the page structure—there’s no indication anything is hidden.
