PROJECTS: Project Dashboard
Learn how to set up and customize your Project Dashboard to share progress and updates with clients.
What is the Project Dashboard?
The Project Dashboard gives you a central hub to display key information about your Projects at a quick glance. It’s an effective way to keep your Clients informed about progress and milestones while showcasing their branding through logos and personalized messages.
Since every business manages Client relationships differently, Unificus lets you pick which dashboard elements are visible to each Client. You can even turn off the dashboard feature entirely if it doesn’t fit your workflow.
How do I enable the Project Dashboard?
To activate the Project Dashboard for all Projects, start by adjusting the Default Settings.
Go to Projects > Settings and select the Project Dashboard Settings tab from the sidebar.
Any settings you save here will apply only to Projects you create going forward—existing Projects won’t be affected.
Switch the Enable the Project Dashboard page toggle to the ON position.
You have the option to add a Welcome Message that will greet your Client when they view the Project Dashboard, plus an optional secondary message.
How do I configure the Project Dashboard for each Project?
To customize the dashboard for a specific Project, you’ll adjust the settings within that Project’s own configuration area.
Open Projects > Projects and select the Project you want to set up.
Click on the Settings tab at the top of the screen.
Project Settings
This section lets you manage what your team members and Clients can access and view.
Allow assigned Project users to see all Tasks: Turn this on if you want Staff Members assigned to the Project to view every Task in it, not just the ones assigned directly to them.
Manage Client Talk Access: When active, a text field appears where you can add Secondary Clients to participate in Client Talk. When turned off, no Clients can use Client Talk.
Allow Client to see Project if it is Archived: When disabled, Clients lose access to the Project once you archive it.

Display the Project Progress to Client: When enabled, a Progress Arc showing a percentage of completion appears on the Client’s Project Dashboard. See the section below for more details.
Display the Project Status to Client: When enabled, the Client can see the Project Status column on their Project page.
Hide Kanban View for Clients: Turn this off if you want to let your Client view their assigned Project in Kanban style.

Allow Client(s) access to the Project’s Files: You can enable or restrict specific file actions Clients can perform, or block file access completely.

Allow Freelancer(s) access to the Project’s Files: Turn this on to let Freelancers with assigned roles access the Project’s Files.
Project Progress
When you enable Project Progress, a Progress Arc displaying a completion percentage shows up on the Client’s Project Dashboard.
You can set the Progress Arc to calculate automatically based on completed Tasks or Project Phases, or you can control it manually with a slider.
Project Automations
You can set up the system to automatically mark the Project Status as complete once every Task in the Project reaches completion.
You can also enable the reverse: automatically mark all Tasks as complete when you manually finish the Project.
Additionally, you can allow Teammates and/or Freelancers to view Task Automations.
Project Dashboard
You can activate the dashboard for this specific Project. When turned on, assigned Client(s) will have access to the Project Dashboard page.
You can also make this Project Dashboard the Start Page by picking from a list of assigned Clients (including Primary and Secondary Clients).
When those Clients log in, they’ll land directly on this Project’s Dashboard.

Personalize to your Client
This is where you can add a Client’s Logo, craft a Welcome Message, and share Project Updates.
If you upload a logo, it displays in the top right corner of the Project Dashboard.
You can include a message at the top of the Project Dashboard—use it for welcome text, the Project title, or any other relevant information.
You also have room for an additional paragraph below the main message.
To give your Client more insight, add Project Updates. These are timestamped entries shown in a log format.
You can also send the Client an email notification whenever the Project gets updated, and you can allow them to add comments to each Project Update.
What does the Client See?
When you enable the Project Dashboard, a Dashboard tab shows up in your Client’s top menu when they’re on their Project Page. This becomes their landing spot when they first open the Project.
The Project Status appears in the top right corner if you’ve enabled it.
If you’ve turned on the Welcome Message, it sits at the top of the screen with the additional message below it.
On the left side below the Welcome Message, the Client’s Logo and Progress Arc display (if enabled). The Progress Arc is live and updates based on your automatic calculations or manual adjustments.
On the right side, Project Updates appear if you’ve enabled them. Clients can click on each date to view specific Updates. The Progress Arc changes dynamically with each Update selection, so Clients see progress reflected across different points in time.
If you’ve let Clients comment on Project Updates, they’ll see a text input box under each Update.
Enabling Project Updates also shows an Update History for quick reference.
