PROJECTS: Kanban View
Organize and visualize your project tasks using Kanban boards with status or assignee columns.
What is Kanban?
Kanban provides a visual workflow representation for your Project’s Tasks, making it simple to spot workflow gaps and make improvements accordingly.
Beyond offering an alternative display option, Kanban lets you drag and drop cards between columns to update their associated information. You can also rearrange column order, which syncs with Task Statuses configured in Content Categories. Two distinct Kanban layouts are available: Status View and Assignee View (details below).
IMPORTANT: Drag-and-drop features are not supported on mobile devices.
How do I access Kanban View?
Go to Projects > Projects and select the Project containing the Tasks you want to view.
On the Project page, select Kanban from the top menu bar.
Your Project’s Tasks appear as cards organized into columns. Use the horizontal scroll bar to view additional columns if needed.
When a column contains more cards than the visible area, a vertical scroll bar activates as you hover over that column.
Within Kanban, you can drag cards between columns or reorder the columns themselves.
IMPORTANT: Clients and Prospects cannot move or reorder items. Freelancers can move cards but cannot reorder columns.
Status View and Assignee View
Your Kanban columns vary depending on which View you select. Use the buttons on the right side of the screen to switch between views.
View availability depends on your assigned Role.
Status View
Status View organizes Tasks by their Task Status.
Available to: Super Admin, Admin, Project Manager, Teammate, Salesperson, Freelancer, and Client. These roles see only their assigned Tasks or Tasks they’re following.
Moving a card to another column updates its Task Status automatically.
Rearranging columns also updates Content Categories, changing the Task Status order across all Kanban displays.
Learn about Content Categories
TIP: Task Statuses stay synchronized between Content Categories and Kanban Status View. This applies when you create new Task Statuses in Kanban or make changes in Content Categories.
Assignee View
Assignee View organizes Tasks by Assignee (Staff and Contact).
Available only to: Super Admin, Admin, and Project Manager. These roles can see all Tasks, not just their own assignments.
Moving a card to another column updates its Assigned User automatically.
You can also rearrange columns to match your preferred layout.
