Template Library

Browse, create, and share reusable templates for proposals, documents, campaigns, and more within Unificus.

What is the Template Library?

The Template Library serves as a centralized collection of pre-built templates. You’ll find both default templates provided with Unificus and templates created by users in your community.

You can build custom templates for:

  • Proposals
  • Documents
  • Marketing Campaigns
  • Drip Sequences
  • Email Cannons
  • Form Templates
  • Form Themes
  • Portal Pages
  • Dashboards

More template types will become available over time.

Templates can be shared publicly with the community or kept private between specific accounts. Private sharing works on a per-template basis, or you can use the Global Share option to distribute multiple templates at once.

TIP: Super Admins, Admin Managers, and Admins can access the Template Library. Only Super Admins and Admin Managers can manage Template Library settings in Platform Branding.

How do I enable the Template Library?

Before using this feature, activate it through your Platform Branding configuration.

  1. Go to Flyout Menu > Platform Branding
  1. Look for the Template Library section and toggle Enable/Show the Template Library to ON

You’ll also have the option to control visibility of related features:

  • Filters & other References: Hide all mentions of “Stock” and “Community”
  • “Contributed By”: Hide creator avatars and usernames
  • # of times used: Hide the download counter
  • “Contribute Template”: Hide the contribution option in the menu for Proposals, Documents, and Marketing Campaigns

Where do I find the Template Library?

Once activated, Template Library appears as a menu item in your Flyout Menu.

The library displays templates in tile format, color-coded by type with titles and category tags displayed.

TIP: Some elements like usernames, avatars, and “community” references can be hidden via Platform Branding settings (see previous section).

You can view all templates or filter by:

  • Stock Templates: Default templates provided by Unificus to help you get started
  • Community Templates: User-contributed templates that have been approved
  • Private Templates: Templates shared directly to you by other accounts

Use the dropdown menus in the top right to filter by template type (Proposal, Document, Marketing Email) or category tags, and sort by popularity or upload date.

Community templates display the contributor’s name and avatar, along with download count (indicating popularity). If a contributor chose anonymity, a generic avatar with “Anonymous” appears instead.

Click any template to expand its details. You can preview it in two ways:

  • Combined Style: Preview showing the template’s custom CSS plus your current Platform Branding CSS
  • Template Style: Preview showing only the template’s custom CSS

Click ‘Hide Details’ to expand the preview area.

How do I download a Template?

  1. Click a template to preview it

The left panel shows the template’s title, description, category tags, and creator (if applicable).

  1. To add it to your account, click Add Template. It will automatically go to its corresponding section (Proposals, Documents, Marketing Campaigns, etc.)

Alternatively, click Use this template now to add it and start editing immediately.

How do I contribute a Template?

From the relevant section of Unificus, click the Options menu button (three dots) on any template and select Contribute Template.

A dialog will open requiring you to complete:

  • Title: Your template’s existing title will pre-fill, but you can change it for the contribution
  • Description: (Optional) Explain the template’s purpose or use case
  • Category: Select at least one category to tag your template for filtering
  • Cover Image: (Optional) Upload an image to display in the library’s tile view
  • Show creator name: Toggle to display your username and avatar; leave off to appear as “Anonymous”
  • Share this Template Privately: Toggle on to make it available for private sharing only. Toggle off to submit it for community approval.

How do I share my Templates privately?

Sharing individual Templates

When you enable Share this Template Privately, a Private Sharing Key is generated. Copy this key and send it to your recipients through your preferred method.

Global Template Sharing

If you have multiple templates set for private sharing and want to share them all with one person, use the Global Sharing Key in the Template Library.

Copy the Global Private Sharing Key and share it with your recipient. They can redeem it using the Private Sharing Redemption tool to access all your privately shared templates—both existing and future ones.

IMPORTANT: Anyone with your Global Private Sharing Key can see and use all of your privately shared templates in their account.

How do I redeem Private Sharing Keys?

When you receive a Private Sharing Key or Global Private Sharing Key, redeem it in your Template Library.

  1. Click the key icon in your Template Library
  1. Paste the key and click Redeem

Your privately shared templates now appear when you filter by All or Private.

What happens after I contribute a Community Template?

When you submit a template as a contribution, it enters an approval workflow. During review, you’ll see Contribution Pending in the Options menu (this selection cannot be clicked).

IMPORTANT: Templates containing inappropriate content, offensive material, or copyrighted works will be rejected.

If you included a Cover Image, a color-coded border matching the template type will appear around it.

Once approved, your template becomes available in the Template Library for community use.

For an already-contributed template, a new option appears in the Options menu: Update Contribution.

Use this to resubmit the template if you’ve made changes. It will go through the approval process again.
