Understanding Generators
Generators are customizable templates that automate the creation of deals, folders, documents, follow-ups, invoices, and projects.
What is a Generator?
A Generator is a pre-built template framework that you can personalize with your own variables and settings. You can deploy Generators through Automation, Schedules, or apply them manually from the CRM. Since Generators come with your preset requirements and placeholders already configured, they’re primed for immediate use.
Where can I create Generators?
Various features throughout Unificus support Generator creation.
Deal Generators
Deals help you monitor sales opportunities as they flow through a visual pipeline, moving from stage to stage until they’re marked Won or Lost. A Deal Generator is a template for a pre-configured Deal Card. After you create the Generator, simply trigger it and specify which Contact or Company should be linked to the new Deal Card.
Getting started: Go to CRM > Deals > Generators.
Select the +Add Deal Generator button.

Folder Generators
A Folder Generator is a template folder hierarchy designed for a specific Contact type. The system can automatically build this folder structure within a Company or Contact’s Shared with me Folder. The structure can contain multiple folders and files at various nesting levels.
Getting started: Go to Files > Folder Generators.
Once in the Folder Generators section, select the New Folder Generator button.

Document Generators
A Document Generator functions as an unassigned Document template that you design and then assign to the right person. Build the framework for your Document here, laying out all terms and conditions.
You can incorporate Dynamic Data Placeholders to handle variable information, such as identifying signers for assigned users to electronically sign. This approach lets you design one Document Generator and produce numerous customized Documents from it.
Getting started: Go to Office > Documents.
Find the Generator tab in the main navigation, then select +Add Generator.

Follow-Up Generator
A Follow-up Generator is a templated chain (or sequence) of Follow-ups that you can establish in advance and then leverage within an Automation to immediately populate those Follow-ups on your Calendar. This is typically used as a tactic to engage with prospects throughout the sales process. You can build multiple Follow-up Generator variations and apply the fitting one depending on your situation.
Getting started: Go to CRM > Follow-Up.
Select Follow-up Generators from the main navigation and click +Add Follow-up Generator.

Invoice Generators
An Invoice Generator produces Invoices on-demand. You have the ability to set up On-Demand Invoice Generators, Recurring Invoice Generators, and Accumulating Invoice Generators. Configure the line items, pricing, payment options, payment processing methods, and more upfront. Once activated, the Generator just needs to be triggered and assigned to the appropriate Client.
Getting started: Go to Office > Invoices > Generators.
Click the Generator tab in the main navigation and pick the Generator you want.

Project Generators
Project Generators let you create a pre-configured Project template. You can also set up Scheduled or Recurring Project Generators. Specify the Project title, who gets assigned, what visibility your Clients and Staff have, and other details. Additionally, pairing a Task Template with a Project Generator defines which Tasks or Phases will automatically build inside the Project when the Automation or Schedule activates. Upon triggering, the Project automatically goes to the correct Client.
Getting started: Go to Projects > Projects.
Click the Generators tab in the main navigation, then select +Add Project Generator.
