PROJECTS: Overview
Learn how Unificus Projects help you organize work into manageable tasks, phases, and templates.
What are Projects?
A Project in Unificus is a structured initiative designed to accomplish a specific business goal. Whether you’re organizing an event, constructing a building, or launching a product, Projects give you a centralized way to monitor progress toward completion.

Tasks
Every Project consists of individual Tasks—the specific steps or activities required to reach your objective. Building a house, for example, might include planning the layout and preparing the construction site as separate Tasks. For even greater control, you can divide Tasks into Subtasks. An “Exterior Finishing” Task could contain Subtasks like roof installation, siding, windows, and doors.

Project Phases
Organize your Tasks by grouping them into Phases. This breaks your Project into distinct, trackable sections that are easier to manage sequentially. A house construction Project might have Phases like Planning, Building, Installation, and Final Details, allowing your team to focus on one area at a time.

Project Generators
If your organization repeatedly creates similar Projects, Project Generators save you time. These tools let you build a reusable framework with preset variables and configurations. Rather than starting from scratch each time, simply select a generator to instantly produce a new Project with your standard settings.

Task Templates
Task Templates work similarly for recurring workflows. If your business handles multiple service types, templates let you standardize your Task and Phase structure without rebuilding it repeatedly. Templates include predefined Tasks and Phases, automatic user assignments, and generated due dates—all customizable for each individual Project. You might maintain separate templates for residential work, commercial projects, and specialized services.

Project Dashboard
Your clients access Project information through the Project Dashboard, a customizable view of your Project’s current state. Configure it to show as much or as little detail as your clients need. You can also enable two-way communication on Project Updates, letting clients and staff exchange messages and feedback directly within Unificus.
