LMS: Create a Product

Set up a new product and course in Unificus LMS to manage learning content.

How do I create a Product?

You have the flexibility to begin by establishing either a Product or a Course. Whichever path you choose will also prompt you to set up the other, making it simple to configure both simultaneously.

A Product represents the complete package that your assigned users receive access to—think of it as the “bookshelf” in the Unificus LMS “library”. A Course is a component within a Product that guides users through a curated learning experience, similar to “individual books” they’ll reference.

TIP: New Products start in an Inactive state by default. This allows you to customize settings before launching to your Participants. Similarly, Courses remain “unpublished” until you publish them and include them in an Active Product. Feel free to test and experiment!

Create a Product

Begin by going to LMS > Products and select the +Add Product button.

Select I’m creating a Course, then choose I am just starting a new Course from the prompt that appears.

To set up your Product, you’ll first need to establish your Course.

Provide your Course with a Title. You may also optionally add a description, thumbnail image, and Tags. Select Next once you’re ready to proceed.

For Product Category, you can create new categories by navigating to Flyout Menu > Categories > LMS Product Category.

Once you’ve completed your Course details, you’ll proceed to configure your Product.

Selecting Next will finalize and create both your new Product and Course!
