CRM: Overview
Learn how to manage contacts, companies, and customer relationships in Unificus CRM.
Customer Relationship Management
What is CRM?
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is your hub for organizing and engaging with contacts. Within this section, you can input or update contact details, assign them to Circles and/or Follow-ups, and perform various other management tasks.
Roles
Every contact falls into one of three categories: Lead, Prospect, or Client. Think of a Lead as someone with potential; a Prospect has shown genuine interest but hasn’t committed yet; and a Client is an active, paying customer. Note that only Prospects and Clients gain Portal access.

Adding Contacts
Start by creating a Contact record in Unificus. During creation, you’ll assign their Role. You also have flexibility to create test records or mark contacts as Inactive when needed.
Adding Companies
If your workflow centers on company-level relationships, you can set up company records using a similar process. Assign a Role and link a Primary Contact during the initial setup.

Kickoff Forms
Grow your contact base using Kickoff Forms, which enable prospects to self-register by completing a form on your website. Customize the form fields completely, including adding your own unique fields.

Paid Portal Access
If your business model involves charging for Portal entry, Paid Portal Access makes this straightforward. Set up one-time or recurring payments as your situation requires.
