TOOLS: Impersonate Your Users
Learn how admins can simulate user accounts to troubleshoot and test the Unificus platform.
What is Impersonating?
Impersonation lets you view Unificus through another user’s account in a controlled, test environment. This feature helps you understand exactly what your team members, clients, and prospects experience when they log in.
When you impersonate someone, the platform behaves almost identically to their actual session. A few minor exceptions exist (see below), but the experience mirrors theirs almost perfectly.
Who Can Impersonate Users?
Only Super Admins and Admins have access to impersonation. These roles can impersonate any Prospect, Client, or Staff member.
Note: Super Admins cannot be impersonated themselves.

What Happens During Impersonation
Once you enter impersonation mode, you’ll see Unificus exactly as that user would.
A dropdown menu at the top of your screen lets you quickly switch between other users without returning to your admin account. If you navigate to a page the impersonated user cannot access, you’ll be redirected to their dashboard instead.
How to Exit Impersonation
To return to your own account, click the power icon at the top of the screen.
Alternatively, use the Flyout Menu to log out, just as you normally would.
Impersonation Limitations
Some features don’t activate during impersonation and only trigger when a user is genuinely logged in:
- On-Boarding FLOWs assigned to a contact won’t launch during impersonation if the contact hasn’t completed them yet
