AUTOMATIONS: Auto-Templates
Learn to build, save, and apply reusable automation bundles in Unificus for efficient workflow management.
What is an Auto-Template?
An Auto-Template is a saved collection of pre-configured Automations that you can deploy across CRM Targets or Staff members. These templates work either as manual triggers or within Automated Workflows.
How do I create an Auto-Template?
Begin by navigating to Automations > Auto-Templates and selecting + Add Auto-Template.
Choose your target category—either CRM or Staff Target.
Enter a title for your template, then press the + button to add your first Automation.
Selecting the + displays all available Automations for your chosen Target Type.

Once you’ve selected your Automations, click Save Template. Exiting Configure Automations without saving requires you to start fresh.
Your new Auto-Template appears in the list. The List View displays the number of Automations within each template.
Select Manage Automations to review which Automations are included. Use Configure Auto-Template to add or remove Automations.
In Card View or List View, the three-dot menu lets you Duplicate or Delete your Auto-Template.
How do I use an Auto-Template?
Automatically trigger an Auto-Template in a Workflow
Wherever Automations are available on the Platform, click +Configure Automations. Select your Auto-Template from the dropdown at the top of the modal.
Applying an Auto-Template preserves any Automations you’ve already configured—it doesn’t replace them.
Manually Triggering an Auto-Template
You can activate an Auto-Template directly from a Contact or Company dashboard.
Go to CRM > Contacts or CRM > Companies, then open the specific Contact or Company.
In the Available Automations section (visible in the Options list and Dashboard via the + Icon), select Trigger Automations Template.
Pick your desired Auto-Template from the dropdown.
Note: If an Auto-Template contains an Automation unavailable in that area of Unificus, only the compatible Automations will load.
For Staff members, go to Flyout > Manage Staff and click the three dots beside the Staff Target.
Select your Auto-Template from the dropdown list.
Manually Triggering an Auto-Template to Multiple Contacts or Companies
Navigate to CRM > Contacts or CRM > Companies and select the targets you want to apply the Auto-Template to.
Click ‘Make a selection’ and choose ‘Auto-Templates’ from the dropdown.
In the Auto-Template window, select your desired Auto-Template from the dropdown.
Click the Trigger button to apply the Auto-Template across all selected Targets.
Manually Triggering an Auto-Template to a Circle
Go to CRM > Circles and click the three dots next to the Circle to open the Options Menu.
Select the Auto-Template option to open the Auto-Template window. Choose the Auto-Template you want to apply to the Circle from the dropdown.
Trigger Logic for Auto-Templates
Set up IF/THEN statements to have your Auto-Templates activate based on specific conditions.
Once your Auto-Template is configured, click Trigger Logic.
First, specify which users can trigger this logic. Leave the dropdown empty to allow all users, or limit it to specific Circles or individual Contacts/Companies. You can select multiple Circles and Contacts/Companies.
Start with an IF statement using a Custom Field Value. Choose the relevant Company Private, Company Public, Contact, or Target Custom Field from the dropdown and set your conditions. For example, if you select a Number-type Custom Field, you’ll see additional options like “Greater or Equal.” Enter your value (such as 4).
IF a Target within the Circle Onboarding: Movie Consulting has 4 or more accounts, THEN the configured Automations execute.
Next, create an IF statement with Today’s Date EQUALS.
The next dropdown offers Specific Date, Specific Date each Year, Custom Field Date, Custom Field Date Each Year, or Calculated Date. For this example, selecting Calculated Date and then choosing a custom field means:
IF Today’s Date EQUALS the calculated date from the Date custom field for any Clients or Prospects plus 3 days, THEN the configured Automations execute for that specific trigger.
To use recurring timing, go back and select EVERY instead of IF.
Choose Day, Week, Month, or Year, enter your start date, and decide whether it expires. If it does expire, provide the expiration date.
EVERY Day from November 4th through December 4th, the configured Automations execute for all Clients and Prospects.
Add additional IF statements by clicking + Add New IF. A confirmation message appears after you save.
