Advanced Filtering

Learn how to create, save, and manage custom filters in Unificus for precise data searches.

What is Advanced Filtering?

Advanced Filtering provides a more refined approach to narrowing down data within Unificus compared to standard filtering. Beyond offering additional filter options, you can preserve your custom searches and pin them as your preferred view whenever you visit that page.

This capability exists throughout several key modules of Unificus, including CRM Contacts, Companies, Projects, Proposals, My Tasks, and All Tasks (with additional areas planned for future release).

How do I use Advanced Filtering?

We’ll walk through this using Contacts as our example. First, go to CRM > Contacts.

Locate the Filter button in the upper right corner of your screen. Note that List View must be active to access the Filter function.

This opens the complete set of available filter options. The fields displayed will vary depending on which section of Unificus you’re currently using.

Let’s suppose you need to find all Clients with an Invited Status.

Select the All Roles field and pick Clients from the available options. Some fields like this one allow you to choose multiple values.

Then, click the Search by Login Status field and select Invited.

After you select Search, the results will display only the Contacts matching your chosen criteria.

To keep this search for later use, click the 3 dots beneath Select Filter, then pick Save as New.

A text field will appear allowing you to name your custom search. Enter a name and select the Save as New button.

Your saved search is now available in the dropdown by clicking that field. This proves invaluable for intricate searches, eliminating the need to set it up again.

To make this filter your automatic default every time you open the page, click the lock icon. Clicking it again will unlock the filter.

Your filter settings will persist even after you leave and return to the page!

How do I manage my Saved Filters?

You can create multiple custom filters, delete unwanted ones, and toggle locks on any filter whenever you wish.

When you lock a filter, its appearance changes and the filter fields become disabled. To unlock it, simply click the icon once more.

Click Clear to restore the filter to its initial state.

To create another filter, enter your desired search parameters. Click the icon beside the Select Filter field, then choose Save as New.

Your new custom filter now appears as a selection in the dropdown menu.

You can also use this dropdown to Save a filter after changing its criteria or to Remove filters you no longer need.
