LMS: What Does A Course Participant See?

Learn how course participants navigate and interact with the learning experience in Unificus.

What does a course participant see?

Participants access their available Courses through the Learn section. Keep in mind that a Product functions as a “container,” so participants view only the Courses within their assigned Products—not the Products themselves.

TIP: The Learn menu appears based on product ownership, not role-based permissions. If a logged-in user owns an LMS Product, the Learn menu displays and directs them to their available LMS Products. Users who don’t own any LMS Products won’t see this menu item at all. You can customize the menu’s placement and label using Custom Menus.

Selecting a Course opens a full-screen view with Module(s) listed in the left navigation panel. When a Course contains multiple Modules, participants can click a Module title to reveal its Lessons. They then select individual Lessons to view their content.

Lesson access order

Depending on your configuration, participants can either progress through Modules and Lessons in any sequence, or they must complete them in a specific order you’ve set.

Accessing course materials

If you’ve added Course/Lesson Materials, participants can access a download link in the top right corner of their screen. Clicking it expands a side panel where they can download the available files.

Marking lessons complete

At the bottom center of the screen, participants can click to mark the current Lesson as completed.

Once all Course content is finished, a completion indicator appears next to the Course in the Learn section.
