UID Settings

Learn how to set up and locate unique identifiers for records in Unificus.

Understanding UID Settings

A unique identifier (UID) functions as a specialized code that points directly to a particular record or section within Unificus.

For instance, you might assign staff members to work on a specific Client project. By using the UID, you can quickly route them to the exact Project requiring their attention.

UIDs are supported for CRM Targets, Staff, Projects, and Work Requests.

Activating Custom UIDs

To begin using UIDs:

  1. Navigate to Flyout Menu > Content Settings
  1. Select the UID SETTINGS tab

  2. Click ACTIVATE CUSTOM UIDs

The activation process typically completes within 24 hours.

You can leave this page and return later to monitor progress. Once activated, you’ll be able to configure custom prefixes and assign starting numbers for each UID category.
