Pop-Up Notices

Create and manage temporary messages that appear to specific users in Unificus.

What is a Pop-Up Notice?

A Pop-Up Notice is a temporary message that displays to designated users within your Unificus platform. It’s an effective way to share critical information across your organization. You can personalize the message text, pick where it appears, and target it to individual users, Circles, Teams, or specific Roles.

Unlike the Notification Center, which only alerts users to system events and requires them to manually open the panel, Pop-Up Notices appear as overlays on top of whatever screen the user is viewing. You can also configure them to reappear multiple times even after being dismissed.

Creating a Pop-Up Notice

  1. Go to Content > Pop-Up Notices
  1. Select the + ADD POP-UP NOTICE button

A dialog box opens for you to build your notice.

  1. Enter a Title (this becomes the header) and Text (the message body). You can format the text, add links, and embed HTML code.

Location Settings: Choose where the notice displays on your platform using the dropdown menu. If you don’t select a location, it will appear on all pages.

Scheduling Settings: Control when the notice is visible.

  • Toggle Schedule this Notice OFF to display the notice right away
  • Date-Time Scheduling: Set a start and end date/time
  • Time Scheduling: Set a start and end time

Select your preferred time delivery:

  • Standard Time Delivery: The notice displays and hides for all users based on your Company Settings timezone
  • Time-Shifted Delivery: Each user sees the notice display and hide according to their individual timezone settings

Assignment Settings: Determine which users receive the notice.

  • Assign to Roles: Enable this to send the notice to all users within one or more Roles
  • Assign to Contacts, Staff, Circles, or Teams: Enable this to target individual users or entire groups

  • Always show on every page load: Enable to display on every page (use sparingly to avoid overwhelming users)
  1. Once saved, use the Options menu to:
  • Edit: Change any notice details
  • Preview: See exactly how assigned users will view the notice
  • Delete: Permanently remove the notice (cannot be undone)

What Users See

When you activate a Pop-Up Notice, it appears to assigned users on their next login or page refresh.

The notice anchors to the bottom right corner of the screen. Users can dismiss it by clicking the X button.

Based on your settings, the notice will reappear on subsequent page loads. Multiple active notices can coexist and will stack on the screen.
