Form Cannons

Send pre-configured forms via email links that don't require login authentication.

What is a Form Cannon?

A Form Cannon is an automated email message containing direct links to Forms that recipients can complete without needing to log in to Unificus. You can set up a Form Cannon with multiple Forms and your preferred settings in advance, then activate it to send emails with clickable links to your targets.

Form Cannons are only available with the PLUS Bundle Power-Up


Creating and Sending a Form Cannon

Note: You may need to manually enable visibility for both the Main Menu Item and Sub Menu Item for Automations in Custom Menus. Learn about Custom Menus

Go to Automations > Form Cannons and select the +Add Form Cannon button.

First, decide whether you want an Immediate One-Time Send or For use in Automations.

Immediate One-Time Send

  1. Title: Name your Form Cannon
  2. Usage: Select CRM Targets or Your Staff/Team
  1. Recipients: Choose one or more recipients. Each person receives a uniquely coded link that identifies them, ensuring their responses are properly recorded in their profile.

For use in Automations

  1. Title: Name your Form Cannon and select its usage type
  2. Click Next to continue.
  1. Select Forms: Choose which Forms to include. Each Form gets its own unique link. Click Next to proceed or Back to adjust.
  1. Security Settings: Optionally set a link expiration date (if unchecked, links never expire) and/or require a password. Note: You’ll need to share any password separately, as it won’t be included in the automated emails.
  1. Notifications: Choose which staff members or teams should be notified when forms are submitted. Leave unchecked for no notifications.

Click Next to continue or Back to adjust Forms.

  1. Send: Enter a subject line and customize your message (you can’t remove the message entirely). Click Activate to send.

For automation-based Form Cannons, you’ll see a confirmation that it’s active and ready. Click Done.

For immediate sends, you’ll receive a confirmation that the Form Cannon has been deployed.


Triggering a Form Cannon

You can activate a Form Cannon through several methods:

Manual Trigger

Go to CRM > Contacts.

Click the Options menu (three dots) next to a contact and select Fire Form Cannon(s).

Pick one or more Form Cannons from the dropdown. Only Form Cannons set up For use in Automations appear here.

Via Forms

Form Cannons can trigger when a contact completes a Kickoff Form or Update Form.

Navigate to Forms and click +Create Form.

Select either Kickoff Form or Update Form.

Choose one or more Form Cannons from the dropdown.

Tip: For Kickoff Forms, this option appears only after you select Prospect or Client as the Role.

Via No-Code Automation

Use the “Fire Form Cannon(s)” Automation action available throughout the platform. Learn about Automations

Select the Form Cannon(s) you want to trigger.

When Adding a Contact

While creating a new contact, you can launch a Form Cannon. Learn about adding Contacts

Go to CRM > Contacts and click +Add Contact.

Select Prospect or Client as the Role.

Choose one or more Form Cannons from the dropdown.

During CRM Import

When importing multiple contacts, you can trigger Form Cannons for them. Learn about importing Contacts

Go to CRM > Contacts and select Import Contacts from the three-dot menu.

Ensure the Role is set to Client or Prospect.

Pick one or more Form Cannons from the dropdown.


Managing Form Cannons

Go to Automations > Form Cannons.

Click the Options menu for any Form Cannon to see these actions:

  • Edit: Modify the Form Cannon’s details and content
  • Resend Email: Resend to the same contacts (available only for Immediate One-Time Send Form Cannons)
  • Duplicate: Create a copy of the Form Cannon
  • Delete: Remove the Form Cannon permanently. If it’s already linked to a Form or Automation, it won’t send. This action cannot be reversed.
